This year wasn’t like the others. As a senior my winter camp experience was very different from what it was before. This year instead of joining the camp like others we were supposed to teach children. I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. We were assigned to teach 4,5 graders. My groups project was to teach children the English language. When we were first mentioned about this assignment in the back of my mind i was thinking when it’s all going to be over even though it hadn’t even started. The first day was very hard because i had entered the classroom with bad expectations i really wasn’t in the mood for it but week by week the kids started to get use to us and i got use to them i started to enjoy doing classes with them. Let me dive in into the specifics our project was radio theater. Each week we had the kids read something like a conversation or a short story by doing that they started to learn the language and it was overall a nice time. We played a lot of Kahoot with them and they really enjoyed it overall i it was a very good experience and now i can really confirm that teaching is not for everyone you have to have the patience to do so.
