Culture shock in Paris

This summer i had the chance to go to Paris with my school and experience a week i wont forget. Although i had an amazing time i did experience some culture shock while i was there. I am a person that has faced with culture shock before and still do. Before going to a new country i like to be open minded because not every country has the customs im used to and i do suggest everyone to be respectful when seeing something your not used to. While we were in Paris we encountered in some misunderstandings and just customs that we weren’t used to. One thing that i can vividly remember that the stores would close at 6:00 or 7:00 pm sharp i was a bit shocked when the 2nd day we went outside and saw half of the stores closed there even was an incident where we went to the mall and it closed at 8:00 so all of the shops were closed beside the food court. Another thing that i noticed thatt a-lot of locals wont talk in english they would demand us to speak in their language even if we didn’t know the language we understood when they were badmouthing us. At the end of the day as i said we were trying to be respectful and open minded since we were in their country but it’s not what i expected from the city that people always praise about.
